HOW LONG WILL THE JOB TAKE?
A typical kitchen cabinet painting project can be completed within ten business days.
HOW MUCH WILL THE PAINTING JOB DISRUPT MY HOME?
Disruption is kept to a minimum. We take all doors and drawers back to our shop to be sprayed and you will have use of your kitchen during most of the painting process.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, Paint My Cabinets is fully insured.
HOW MANY COATS OF PAINT & PRIMER ARE INCLUDED IN THE QUOTE?
Two coats of premium cabinet paint and two coats of stain-blocking primer will be applied.
WHAT IS YOUR CABINET PAINTING PROCESS?
1.) Take down and label all cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware.
2.) Wipe down and degrease all cabinets, side panels, etc.
3.) Mask off & tape kitchen areas to protect surfaces.
4.) Lightly sand all fixed cabinet pieces, side panels, doors & drawers.
5.) Fill noticeable larger cracks in your cabinets with wood filler.
6.) Add two coats of stain-blocking primer to all the built-ins, doors & drawers.
7.) Lightly sand after priming.
8.) Add two coats of premium imported cabinet paint to all the built-ins, doors & drawers.
9.) Clean up and tidy.
10.) Reinstall your doors, drawers & hardware.

We use a premium cabinet coating imported from Italy (Renner)
HOW LONG DO PAINTED CABINETS LAST?
This is another question we get asked a lot. The longevity of painted cabinets depends on the quality of the paint and the preparation work. When done correctly, with high-quality materials, as we do at Paint My Cabinets, a painted cabinet finish can last 5-10 years or even longer.
CAN YOU GET RID OF THE GRAIN ON THE OAK CABINETS?
Yes & No: The goal of grain filling isn’t to create a completely smooth surface or erase the oak’s natural texture. Instead, it’s about making those dark grain lines less visible and your doors looking one solid colour. Your cabinets still have the charm of oak, just without the contrasting dark lines.
